With Request, we speak the same crypto-language

We have invested in a few nuggets in the Web3 field from the start: Ledger, of course, but also Coinhouse and more recently Dogami. We’ve also known Christophe since 2016. We had discussed his blockchain projects and he knew that we were investors convinced by Web3, and the magnitude of the revolution to come and in which Request will participate in his field: crypto-currency payments for companies.

Why were we quickly convinced by Request Finance ?

1. Request Finance is the pioneer of crypto-currency payments for businesses. In a decentralised economy where DAOs (Decentralised Autonomous Organisations) have multiplied, Request Finance allows businesses to make and receive payments in crypto-currencies, anywhere in the world and instantly.
2. The founders are relentless. They set up a first project 6 years ago: Request.network which is an open network for all invoices, building the payment request protocol for open finance, web3, metaverse, and NFTs.
3. With Request Finance, they are attacking a global market. More than 1500 web3 companies already use Request Finance to manage their financial transactions including crypto-currencies. Since the company’s launch in January 2021, a total of $191 million in crypto has been paid through the platform. Tomorrow, they will be the crypto payment solution for all largest corporations.
4. A funding round that speaks for itself: Balderton of course, but also an investment from many Web3 entrepreneurs, which is worth co-opting (Sebastien Borget, co-founder & COO of The Sandbox, Stani Kulechov, founder and CEO of Aave, and Michael Kong, CEO of Fantom).

So, yes, we moved fast, addressing a term-sheet in 4 days. But, first, we like that. And moreover,  with Christophe, Yoann and this board, we know where we are going. And we also know that the weather is often good.
