MindDay, a startup with impact in mind

Launched in 2020 in the wake of the pandemic, mindDay has a mission: to democratize access to mental well-being for as many people as possible, thanks to qualified professionals, enhanced by technology. With such a goal in mind, this French startup and its stellar founders is a perfect fit for XAnge and Mutuelles Impact. XAnge is a very active player in the field of impact investing, and is managing the fund Mutuelles Impact, launched by the feredation La Mutualité Française in partnership with Investir&+ and backed by 45 Mutuelles That’s why we are proud to take part in its 2M€ seed round.

From Day 1, mindDay was built around a powerful purpose and the ambition to have a true impact on people and society, by making mental health techniques and therapies more accessible, more intelligent, more personalised and more effective. How? Thanks to an app providing personalized tools to deal with a whole range of difficulties and pains relative to personal life, family life or professional life.

To do so, mindDay works with a large network of certified, experienced and hand-picked experts and specialists. Each user is connected to the right “minder” by a Care Manager who directs them to the best professional, either in a coaching or therapy approach. Technology enables a high level of personalisation and capacity to address large volumes of users, yet, the human touch of the service remains key.

With mindDay, users can access daily programmes with activities, content, tools and exercises on a daily basis. Progress towards each user’s personal goals are tracked, with accurate measurement tools.

In sum, mindDay democratizes mental wellness support, prevention and care. That’s a huge and under-addressed topic: in Europe only, 60 million people suffer from mental illness every year and Covid-19 is an accelerator of ill-being, contributing to isolation, stress and depression.

The team, experienced in the fields of corporate wellness, coaching and therapy, believes that mental wellbeing should be available to everyone. For instance, mindDay is also committed to donating 1% of its turnover to support vulnerable people free of charge.

Impact is not just a vision: Boris Pourreau, the CEO (formerly founder of the successful startup Sport Heroes) and his team are working hard to develop tools to provide an objective assessment of the true impact of mindDay. We are looking forward to telling you more about it soon!
