Ensweet raises €3M to deploy its home-based cardiac rehabilitation solution on a large scale.
- A solution that allows patients to undergo their post-cardiac surgery rehabilitation from home.
- A Seed funding round to structure its growth and continue the industrialization of its solution.
- Ensweet is preparing to open its service to independent healthcare professionals (professionnels libéraux).
- Its objective within 5 years is to support cardiologists and health authorities in cardiovascular prevention, and to rehabilitate more than 60,000 patients per year.
- Ensweet represents a significant issue for the State and mutual health insurers (mutuelles), due to the high cost of treating cardiovascular diseases.
- On the eve of the debates on the 2026 State budget, this type of care addresses the challenges of optimizing healthcare costs.
(Paris, May 20, 2025) The MedTech startup Ensweet announces a €3M Seed fundraising round to accelerate the deployment of its hybrid cardiac rehabilitation solution, designed for both patients and healthcare professionals. This funding round is led by Mutuelles Impact, alongside AG2R LA MONDIALE, Angels Santé, Nord France Amorçage (NFA), 50 Partners, Finovam 2, Good Only Ventures, and makesense, as well as several business angels specializing in health.
A major challenge: making cardiac rehabilitation accessible to all
Founded in 2021 by Fabien Watrelot, Ensweet is based on a twofold observation:
- the majority of the 100,000 patients who suffer a heart attack or other cardiac event each year do not access a cardiac rehabilitation program,
- and current facilities are not adapted to the reality of many patients, especially those who are actively working.
Thus, more than 70% of post-heart attack patients do not benefit from cardiac rehabilitation care, even though it reduces mortality by 26% and rehospitalizations by 18%. The reasons: saturated healthcare facilities, and a long and restrictive hospitalization of 4 to 6 weeks.
A hybrid solution, designed for institutions and patients
Ensweet is developing a complete remote cardiac rehabilitation program, in conjunction with healthcare facilities. The concept: to enable each patient to follow their rehabilitation program at home, with connected medical measurement tools and under the supervision of accompanying professionals.
The solution combines:
- a mobile application for the patient (exercises, coaching, messaging)
- a medical platform for caregivers (monitoring, data, coordination)
- a pack of connected equipment (exercise bike, sensors, etc.)
It integrates into the existing practices of follow-up care and rehabilitation centers (soins de suite et de réadaptation - SMR), with a flexible and scalable model, halfway between in-person and remote care.

“Ensweet stands alongside health authorities and cardiologists to anchor physical rehabilitation in the daily lives, at home, of patients who need it most. This solution allows the rehabilitation system (and the associated cost) to be adapted according to the severity of the patients' pathology: a severely ill patient remains in the hospital, a mildly ill patient begins their rehabilitation at home after a few days of hospitalization, and a much more mildly ill patient does their rehabilitation directly at home.”
A funding round to scale up and broaden access to rehabilitation
This fundraising will allow Ensweet to strengthen its medical, Tech, and sales teams, and to structure its development.
The objective is to industrialize the deployment of the solution in partner care centers while optimizing existing processes. Ensweet is also preparing to open its service to independent healthcare professionals (professionnels libéraux), particularly cardiologists, in order to broaden access to cardiac rehabilitation beyond rehabilitation facilities.
In parallel, the startup wishes to strengthen its partnerships with mutual health insurers (mutuelles) and other players in the health sector to better meet patient needs and extend its care offering to a wider population.
Thanks to this funding, Ensweet intends to accelerate its growth in France and begin its development on a European scale. Its ambition: to make remote cardiac rehabilitation an accessible, secure standard of care, supported by health authorities.
An impact already demonstrated, for patients as well as for the healthcare system.
A first clinical study is being finalized by Ensweet with 1,500 patients, whose solution has already enabled many patients to follow a program they would not have been able to consider otherwise:
- 1 out of 2 patients state they would not have had access to rehabilitation without Ensweet.
- 30% of patients resumed professional activity during the program.
- Demonstration of safety: no accidents or incidents.
It is also more efficient: it requires less caregiver time, limits the need for medical transport, promotes better long-term adherence and better results.

“With the Mutuelles Impact fund, we support Ensweet's approach to promoting the widespread adoption of remote cardiac rehabilitation following cardiovascular diseases, in order to foster better recovery but also to reduce the risk of future cardiac problems.”
Two major challenges in 2026
Beyond the clinical benefits, Ensweet's approach allows for substantial savings:
- for the healthcare system: it represents a significant issue for mutual health insurers (mutuelles), which reimburse care provided in cardiac rehabilitation.
- for the State, due to the significant economic burden of cardiovascular diseases on their health expenditures.
The challenges for the startup are to ensure that:
- by early 2026, hybrid rehabilitation is covered by rehabilitation facilities.
- by the end of 2026, the system is fully covered by social security (sécurité sociale) and usable as a digital therapy by the hospital and the operating cardiologist, upstream, but also by the community-based cardiologist (cardiologue de ville) and the sports doctor.
