Founded in 2016 by Racem Flazi, Mehdi Ouchallal, and Samuel Goldstein, LegalPlace has become the reference platform for company creation and management in France. The company announces a major fundraise of €70 million from Move Capital fund I, XAnge, and Eurazeo, to finance the strategic acquisition of its historic competitor Legalstart and continue its technological investments. In a context of market consolidation, this merger gives birth to a giant in company creation and management, now handling nearly 20% of company formations in France, with the ambition of exporting the French model of company creation to the European level.
A historic consolidation in a rapidly evolving market
With this transaction, LegalPlace takes a decisive step in delivering on its mission: democratising entrepreneurship. Founded in 2013 by Timothée Rambaud and Pierre Aïdan and backed by ISAI, Legalstart has established itself as the historic reference for online legal support, built on the expertise of its 150 employees.
By joining forces, LegalPlace and Legalstart create the largest player in the sector, combining Legalstart's historic strength in company creation with LegalPlace's robust accounting ecosystem and integrated professional account and business domiciliation solutions. Both entities will retain their own identities and continue to coexist, capitalising on the trust and brand recognition built with their respective communities.
Now with 500 employees, the group establishes itself as the indispensable super-app for entrepreneurs, who can now manage their entire business — creation, domiciliation, professional account, accounting, and insurance — without any break in experience. With this funding, LegalPlace is betting on agentic AI to free founders from all mental load, transforming accounting into autonomous and proactive workflows.
Clear ambitions: AI agents, €100M in revenue, and Europe in its sights
Driven by 60% annual growth over three years and a solid base of 50,000 subscribers, LegalPlace is now targeting revenues exceeding €100 million as early as 2026. The funds raised will accelerate technological innovation, including the imminent launch of an instant company creation product, and prepare for a European-scale deployment.
At the heart of this acceleration: the construction of an AI agent capable of handling both accounting and corporate formalities, drawing on a complete and continuous understanding of each client's context. The coming together of LegalPlace and Legalstart is a decisive accelerator for this ambition: an AI agent only reaches full maturity with volume — volume of data, use cases, and client interactions — and the combination of the two entities offers precisely this critical mass, paired with an already established distribution network reaching hundreds of thousands of entrepreneurs. At a time when pure SaaS alone no longer constitutes a genuine barrier to entry, "powered by AI" services are establishing themselves as the new reference business model: combining the scalability of software with domain expertise and the added value of intelligent, personalised execution.

“When we launched LegalPlace, starting a business was too complex and opaque. Our ambition has always been to remove these barriers. Today, our coming together with Legalstart is not just a growth move. It is the culmination of a vision: letting everyone focus on what matters — growing their business — by making administration obvious and invisible.”

“Now the undisputed leader in digitalised company creation in France, LegalPlace firmly believes that democratising entrepreneurship is an essential lever for economic competitiveness. We are fully aligned with the momentum driven by the European Commission and the French government around the 28th regime and EU Inc — a framework we strongly support and that we are now in a position to roll out at scale.”

“This transaction marks a key milestone in the history of both Legalstart and LegalPlace. This coming together will allow us to build the French reference player capable of supporting millions of entrepreneurs with ever more innovative, accessible, and reliable solutions.”

“This fundraise and the strategic alliance with Legalstart mark a decisive turning point: LegalPlace now establishes itself as THE indispensable one-stop shop for entrepreneurs. It is also XAnge 5's first investment, and that is no coincidence. Our new fund was built to support European champions at the intersection of AI Transformation and Sustainable Future. LegalPlace ticks both boxes with rare clarity: a platform that concretely simplifies the lives of hundreds of thousands of entrepreneurs, powered by AI. XAnge is proud to open this chapter alongside them.”

“Impressed by the quality of execution and the vision of the management team, Move Capital is delighted to support LegalPlace in this new phase. Business management is evolving towards greater automation, particularly through AI agents, and the combination with Legalstart will allow the group to reach a decisive milestone by bringing together distribution, data, and expertise. This transaction lays the foundations for a future leader in entrepreneurial services in France and Europe.”
