XAnge Supports Gladia in Series A Funding Round, Powering Multilingual Real-Time Audio Transcription and Analytics.
Gladia, AI-driven transcription and audio intelligence platform, has successfully raised $16 million in a Series A funding round.
This milestone will enable the company to evolve from a speech-to-text API provider into a comprehensive audio infrastructure platform, revolutionizing industries such as contact center platforms, sales enablement tools, and AI meeting assistants with cutting-edge real-time transcription and analytics technology.
“Gladia exemplifies the qualities we champion at XAnge: a bold, global tech team leading innovation in AI, with a proven business model poised to unlock new opportunities across industries,” said Alexis du Peloux, Partner at XAnge. “Jean-Louis Quéguiner and his team have executed brilliantly in a fast-moving AI environment, and we are proud to support Gladia in this Series A.”
Gladia’s Multilingual Real-Time Engine: A Game Changer
Gladia was founded in 2022 by Jean-Louis Quéguiner and Jonathan Soto, driven by a desire to address the limitations of existing transcription services, particularly their inability to handle diverse languages and accents. Gladia’s real-time audio transcription and analytics engine stands out as the first of its kind, capable of processing over 100 languages while adapting seamlessly to different accents and language switches during live conversations.
The engine goes beyond mere transcription, providing real-time insights such as sentiment analysis, key information extraction, and conversation summaries—all within milliseconds. This unparalleled speed and accuracy are powered by Gladia’s proprietary technology, offering enterprises a solution that bypasses the complexities of building real-time, multilingual audio infrastructure from scratch.
“Our mission is to provide an intuitive, low-latency solution that supports a global audience, regardless of language or accent,” said Jean-Louis Quéguiner, CEO of Gladia. “We’ve built the first real-time transcription product that truly accommodates multiple languages and accents, filling a critical gap in the AI landscape.”
What’s Next for Gladia
Following this funding round, Gladia will focus on expanding its R&D efforts to develop a one-stop AI toolkit for audio, including new models such as large language models (LLMs) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). The company is also piloting an agent-assist solution with partners in the contact-center-as-a-service (CCaaS) segment, using Gladia’s AI engine to enhance real-time customer interactions.
In addition to product development, Gladia plans to continue growing its talent base and preparing for international expansion, solidifying its position as a leader in multilingual audio transcription and analytics.
